Andy is passionate about helping implement tools that help increase patient safety. In 2017, he joined the Clarus Medical Inspection Team. Andy travels the world working with hospital reprocessing teams, device manufacturers, and device repair companies helping them implement inspection into their operation. Andy notes the best part of his job is watching a technician use a borescope to visualize the INSIDE of a device they have worked on for many years.
Frank Daniels is the Associate Vice President of Sterilization and High-Level Disinfection at Virginia Commonwealth University Health. He oversees all VCU Health HLD and SPD locations, including Main campus SPD, Children’s Hospital SPD, Surgery Center SPD, two rural hospitals SPD, offsite reprocessing SPD for clinics, and five strategically placed high-level disinfection rooms. Since Frank centralized Sterile Processing and high-level disinfection, he has earned numerous accolades, including “Best Practice” and “Perfect Practice” from The Joint Commission. He is an active member of AAMI and a voting member of several AAMI workgroups.
